Meet the Team

The Immersive Virtual Environments Laboratory is run by the Virtual Environments and Computer Graphics (VECG) group in the Computer Science Department at UCL.

Anthony Steed

Anthony Steed

Professor and Head of Virtual Environments and Computer Graphics

Anthony has worked on virtual reality since the early 1990s. His work has spanned from low-level technical hardware and software issues, through to user experimentation and social issues of the user of immersive technologies.

Simon Julier

Simon Julier

Professor of Situation Awareness Systems

Simon is a professor at the Department of Computer Science. His research interests lie in the vertical chain of how we can get from an environment to actionable information for a user, combining together elements of both data fusion and UI design.
